Marketing Associate in Athens Office

Overview
A midtown Manhattan global investor relations firm with offices in New York, London, and Athens is looking for a highly motivated and committed Marketing Associate for the Athens office to cultivate existing client business, and to manage and generate new business within our growing global conference series and digital media platforms. This person will provide support to the business development department with room for growth within the company.

Capital Link organizes 14 conferences a year in the United States, Europe and Asia, all of which are known for combining rich educational and informational content with unique marketing and networking opportunities. Our services and digital platform include our online portals, live webinars, podcasts series, social media platforms, and industry newsletters. We are currently established in maritime transportation, master limited partnerships, the closed-end fund and exchange-traded fund space, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in terms of conferences.

The Marketing Associate will work across the board on all conferences and digital platforms. This person will have strong writing skills, an acute attention to detail, and be deadline oriented.  Knowledge of marketing and social media fundamentals such as creating promotional materials, marketing brochures, audience development, email marketing, and posting of content are required. Skills include intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, a multi-tasker, and can work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, design and create content to promote Capital Link events (i.e. conferences, webinars, podcasts), which includes but not limited to marketing brochures, advertisements, newsletters, conference notes, and social media posts
  • Conduct online research as part of the company’s business development efforts
  • Monitor company website performance (Google Analytics) & generate new ideas to drive traffic
  • Post and update materials on the website
  • Manage and upload relevant content to Capital Link’s website, social media and digital platforms, which includes but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Vimeo, Podcast Channels (our website, iTunes, and Spotify) and more.
  • Be up to date with social media trends to generate new marketing ideas, as well as to serve as a go-to resource on social media ideas for marketing team
  • Media Partners and Supporting Associations/Organization - Manage existing relationships and establish new partners to promote Capital Link events
  • Manage onsite logistics, including overseeing registration check-in process, fielding questions from attendees, setting up exhibit area, etc.
  • Assist with day-to-day office tasks.

 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • Fluency in English
  • Prior experience in marketing preferred.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Experience with social media marketing
  • Strong creative outlook & design skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task, exercise initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in conjunction with all levels of the organization and cross-cultural environment
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion regarding all matters and documents.
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership, teamwork, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Knowledge of the Maritime Industry would be considered a plus

 

Software Skills

  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Canva
  • WordPress
  • Experience with Google Ads would be considered a plus
