Mr. Thanasis Martinos

Born in 1950, and a graduate from Athens University – School of Economics (POE), Mr. Thanasis Martinos worked at the family shipping business “Thenamaris” from 1968 to 1990.
In 1991 he established in Glyfada his own shipping company “Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Limited (Eastmed).
He is also Archon of the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople – Archon of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, Egypt – Governor of Mount Athos.
He is married to Marina and they have two daughters and two grandchildren. They both support social benevolent causes mainly in Greece through their family foundations “AEGEAS Non-Profit Civil Company” and “The Athanasios and Marina Martinou Foundation”.
