– Sofia has over 35 years experience of auditing companies, and has been engaged as an executive in capital markets transactions for over 23 years. She has a unique professional background bringing together knowledge as signing audit partner on EU and US listed companies and advisor to regional EY clients on IPOs and follow on offerings.
– She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and member of the Institute of Certified Auditors-Accountants in Greece. Sofia has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and International Business from New York University and a MBA in International Finance from Baruch College New York.
Professional Experience
– Sofia supports clients across the region to realize their capital agenda, accessing international markets, like NYSE, NASDAQ and LSE.
– Sofia has worked on US IPOs, including SPACs, Reverse Acquisitions and Direct Listings.
– Capital Markets Partner on cross boarder equity and bond transactions, including Reg S and Rule 144A
– Audit partner on US and EU Listed Companies across a wide range of industries, including Telecommunication, Energy, Transportation, Retail and Manufacturing
– Subject matter resource for Europe Central on IPO and capital markets cross border transactions; transactions for companies with headquarters in Greece, Nordics, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Baltics.
– Sofia has held a wide range of roles, including EY Regional Accounts and Business Development Leader and was a member of the EY Central and Southeast Europe Regional Executive Committee
– Sofia has led EY Southeast Europe Internal Audit services, projects included the outsourcing of internal audit function, organizing and training a company’s internal audit division and supporting and educating the audit committee.
