Mr. Petros Pappas is the CEO of Star Bulk Carriers Corp since 2014 and a member of the company’s board of directors. Between 2007 and 2014 he served as the non-executive Chairman of Starbulk’s Board. In the maritime business since 1978, he has founded a number of ship management companies that deal in the dry, tanker and container sectors having been involved in several hundreds of acquisitions and disposals. Mr. Pappas serves on the Board of Directors of the UK Defense Club and is a member of the Union of Greek Ship Owners. Mr. Pappas received his B.A. in Economics and his MBA from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
