Panos is a leading private capital lawyer and a strategic advisor to fund managers, portfolio companies, and financial institutions across the United States and European markets. Panos also serves as global co-lead of Reed Smith’s Financial Industry Group.

Panos has deep experience advising private funds and financial institutions in a variety of transactions and the entire life cycle of alternative investment vehicles and investment structures, including with respect to:

  • the establishment of new hedge funds, private equity funds, and joint ventures;
  • the structuring, negotiation, and execution of underlying equity, debt, and hybrid transactions, with particular focus on the distressed and special situations sectors and in industries such as corporate, transportation, and real estate;
  • corporate governance matters;
  • strategic advice concerning relationships with investors, counterparties, and/or regulators; and
  • the restructuring or liquidation of alternative investment vehicles or related investments.

In addition, Panos leads our Greek interests practice, focused on advising international clients with respect to investment opportunities in Greece, as well as Greek-based clients with respect to their international transactions and other legal needs.
