SteelShips was founded as a JV between Mr. Notias and a CT-based private
equity firm, combining the owning interest of handymax, supramax, and
panamax-size dry bulk tonnage and creating a platform that includes
asset-light investments. The SteelShips platform offers technical
management to in-house tonnage and third-party management. It also acts
as a cargo provider via its COAs under its operating arm, Grace Trading
Corp., and via its brokerage affiliate, Vision Brokerage SA.

In 2021, SteelShips embarked on a newbuilding program at K Shipbuilding,
South Korea, expanding into MR2 tankers.

Prior professional history includes: Vice President, Omnimar Chartering
& Shipping, Inc., managing a fleet of 20 plus dry bulk vessels; Partner
in a Wall Street boutique law firm that specialized in securities law;
and Vice President at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.

Degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Pennsylvania
State University and a JD from New York Law School.

Mr. Notias is a licensed attorney in the State of New York, a supporting
member of the LMAA, and a committee member of The Korean Registry
(Athens).
