Maria Xytaki

Maria Xytaki has been serving for the past seven years as Group Corporate Affairs, Communications & ESG Senior Manager at Saracakis Group of Companies, where she leads the Group’s sustainability strategy, corporate affairs, and corporate communications and reputation across Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. She also oversees marketing and communications for Kinsen (Europcar, Goldcar) in Greece and Austria.

With over 25 years of experience across sectors including mobility, energy, financial services, technology, retail, luxury fashion, hospitality, and non-profit, she has contributed to shaping organizations that view ESG not as an obligation, but as a driver of real value creation, trust, and competitiveness.

She has worked closely with government stakeholders and Boards, focusing on translating strategic ambition into measurable impact and long-term resilience. She is recognized for her ability to combine strategic business thinking, execution, and a human-centered approach. She believes that the next chapter of sustainability goes beyond compliance, emphasizing transparency and human-centered leadership in an ever-evolving environment.

She is a former President of the Hellenic Alumni Association of the London School of Economics and Political Science and holds an MSc in New Media, Information and Society from LSE, as well as a BSc in Psychology from Deree – The American College of Greece, where she graduated with distinction.
