Anastasia Chondrou is Chief Officer with Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A. and an experienced maritime professional with over a decade of sea-going experience in the tanker sector. Since joining the company as a Deck Cadet in 2013, she has progressed through the ranks and has served as Chief Officer since 2021.
She holds a Master Mariner Certificate of Competency and has sailed on crude oil, product and DP Shuttle Tankers. Her areas of expertise include cargo operations, cargo handling and safety, with a strong focus on operational excellence and the safe and efficient management of vessel operations. She is currently preparing for promotion to Master, continuing her professional development in the maritime industry. She has successfully completed most recently the training scheme of Nautical Institute as Dynamic Positioning Operator.
She graduated from Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos in 2016.
