Bernard Liew is the Managing Director of CSM Shanghai. 
Bernard Liew is an accomplished maritime professional with extensive experience in operational excellence, maritime technologies, innovation, sustainability, and business development. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director at Columbia Shipmanagement in Shanghai, a role he has held since September 2024. In this capacity, Bernard focuses on driving sustainable ship management initiatives, and business growth within the industry.

Before this, Bernard was the Senior General Manager at Kuok Maritime Group, where he led maritime venture capital, corporate sustainability efforts, decarbonization strategies, and digitalization initiatives.
His career also includes leadership roles as General Manager at Pacific Carriers Limited, along with key positions at American President Lines Ltd. During these roles, Bernard specialized in improving operational efficiency and leading business transformation efforts across the organizations.

Bernard holds a Master’s degree in Maritime Studies from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computing from the National University of Singapore.
