Laure was appointed Head of Commercial Operations for Rio Tinto in April 2022.
In her role, Laure leads all commercial operations, including marine, chartering and product stewardship, logistics for our inbound/outbound flows as well as commercial services (back-office activities) and commercial HSE across the global organisation.
With a career spanning over 22 years with Rio Tinto, Laure is an experienced mining and metal executive with strong commercial and operations knowledge. She has worked in aluminium operations and business improvement roles in France for ten years, before managing several commercial portfolios for Rio Tinto’s Aluminium and Copper businesses across metal management, joint venture board membership, business planning, sales and marketing including technical marketing, trading and product stewardship.
Laure holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD, and a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble and University of Washington in Seattle.
Laure is based in Singapore, supported by teams located in Singapore, Australia, Europe, the United States and Canada.
