Head of Commercial Shipping (Minor Bulk and Panamax)
Anglo American

Head of Commercial Shipping for Minor Bulk and Panamax for Anglo American, the global mining company.

Anglo American Shipping is responsible for Anglo American Group’s ocean freight activity, transporting approximately 80 million Tons of cargo, operating 60 vessels from Capesize to coasters. In 2025, AA Shipping completed about 700 voyages.

With teams based in Santiago, London and Singapore,  operating approximately 30 vessels and moving 10 million tons of different types of cargo, , I am responsible for Anglo American’s global ocean freight activities.

Born in London, my shipping career started just after completing my degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance at Bayes, formerly Cass, Business School in 2008, and joined MSI as a shipping analyst soon after.

I then joined MOL in 2009 as a dry bulk operator, focusing on Atlantic and WC South America operations for Supramax and Panamax.

In 2012, I was transferred to MOL’s Santiago office in Chile, to start the dry bulk chartering desk to serve MOL’s growing copper concentrates parceling trade. I subsequently hired and built the desk in Santiago for MOL and grew their parceling portfolio. In 2019, I joined Anglo American and started their minor bulk desk in Santiago, where Anglo American had a copper production office. From there, I began to build a local team of chartering and operations professionals to double the minor bulk shipping portfolio and then moved back to London in 2023 to set up the Atlantic and Panamax desk for Anglo American Shipping, hiring a team of London based shipping professional to develop and support our growth ambitions. In 2025, I added a Singapore team to handle our growing Pacific trade and help drive our ambitions to be a global freight operator in the minor bulk space.
