Ioannis Kamitsos is a Director in KPMG Greece, leading the Financial Risk Management services. Prior to this, he worked as a Manager in the Financial Services Risk Management department of EY Greece and as a Quantitative Developer in Bloomberg LP, New York, USA. He has over 13 years of professional experience in financial services, focusing on risk modeling across various types (IFRS9/IRB credit risk, market & liquidity risk, operational risk), front office derivative pricing models, implementation of EU-wide Stress Testing frameworks, incorporation of ESG in risk management frameworks, and implementation of regulatory frameworks.
Ioannis holds a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA (2012), a M.A. degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University (2009), and a Diploma/M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2006).
