Ioannis Eftstratiou

Ioannis Efstratiou has graduated from National Technical University of Athens in 1991 (Ethniko Metsovio Polytechnio).
He joined Cyprus Maritime Administration in May 1993.
From April 2016 up to February 2018, he was temporarily appointed as the Acting Director of Department of Merchant Shipping.
He was recently promoted to Director of Safety and Environmental Directorate of Shipping Deputy Ministry.
He represents Cyprus at both International level (including Marine Environment Protection Committee, IMO) and regional level in numerous technical forums and committees.
He is member of the Administrative Board of European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), and of the National Committee on Maritime Training.
