Hing Chao is the Chairman of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings, Chairman of the China Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA) and an Executive Committee member of HKSOA, Chairman of RINA’s Asia Decarbonisation Committee, a trustee of the Hong Kong Maritime Museum and Chairman of the Port Welfare Committee. Hing is also the founder and convener of the Greater Bay Maritime Forum, and the leader of the Greater Bay Area Task Force under the HKSOA China Sub-committee. After graduating from Durham University in 2000, Hing started to gain experience and develop a broad understanding of the maritime industry while working in a number of shipping companies. Hing joined the board of Wah Kwong in 2015 having occupied various positions in the company across the real estate and shipping sectors, and having established a successful career across shipping, culture and heritage. Hing was appointed as Executive Chairman of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings in 2019.
