Mr. Yiannis Karamanolis

He was born in 1969. He holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and an MSc in Transportation from Cardiff University of Wales. With more than 25 years of experience in shipping finance, he has served for many years at BNP Paribas, and most recently as Head of Origination Transportation in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has previously worked for international banks with a strong presence in shipping, such as Fortis Bank and ABN AMRO Bank, where he held senior management positions. Meanwhile, he began his career at Alpha Bank. On 3.11.2025 he was appointed Chief of Shipping.
