George Kallimasias
Chief Strategy Officer
George A. Kallimasias joined Athens International Airport in 1999, having served the Airport Company from a number of positions. George was appointed as the Chief Strategy Officer of Athens International Airport in 2019.
With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the airport industry, George Kallimasias has successfully led complex strategic initiatives, such as the 20-year extension of AIA’s concession period and the listing of the company’s shares in the Athens Exchange.
Following relevant decision of the Board of Directors of Athens International Airport, he will assume the role of Managing Director (CEO) of the Company as of February 1sr, 2026.
In the past he has worked for Deloitte and for Enterprise Greece. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Patras, and a Master of Business Administration from Lancaster University, UK.
