George Balafoutis is Director of Cybersecurity Technical Strategy, Customer Success at Microsoft. He leads a team of cybersecurity architects responsible for technical delivery, IP development, and product improvement standards across 119 countries. With 14 years at Microsoft, George has held various global and regional roles, including Security CSU Global Technical Team Manager, EMEA Technical Delivery Sr Manager, and Cybersecurity Architect responsible for Compromise Recovery across several of Microsoft’s largest customers.
George’s prior experience includes extensive cybersecurity consulting, auditing, and product management roles at Trustwave, focused on Fortune 500 companies.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MSc in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, and a BSc in Mathematics from the National University of Athens. He is certified in CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, and GSNA.
