Dr. Michael Volks is a Local Partner in White & Case’s Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Practice in Hamburg. He advises lenders, owners, sponsors, lessors and other stakeholders on domestic and cross-border asset and project finance transactions, with a particular focus on shipping and maritime finance, as well as energy and infrastructure projects. His practice regularly includes export credit agency-backed financings and other structured financing solutions.
Before joining White & Case, Michael advised the German Government on export credit agency-backed financings and represented various parties in international project finance, asset finance and leasing transactions, focusing on energy and infrastructure projects as well as ship, aircraft and rail financings. He was also seconded to the legal department of a major German bank, where he focused on international rail and ship financings.
