David has over 30 years of ship finance experience having started his career with RBS in 1990. He has subsequently worked in many of the major maritime cities in the world and joined ING Bank in 2014 with responsibility for managing and growing the bank’s ship finance activities in Greece focusing on senior debt, structured finance and advisory services. Prior to ING, David spent 11 years with DNB Bank becoming Head of Shipping Europe, Middle East & Africa and a member of the London Executive Management Committee as well as the Global Shipping Leadership Group. During his long career, David has also held senior positions with Berliner Bank AG based in Hong Kong, as well as in structured finance with RBS London. During his second spell at RBS over a 3 year period he was responsible for managing a $1bn portfolio investing in bonds, special investment vehicles, CLO’s/CDO’s, asset backed securities and credit derivatives.
