Mr. Christian Synetos

Mr. Synetos joined GIP’s predecessor First Reserve in 2012 and is based in London. His responsibilities include investment origination and structuring, due diligence, execution, monitoring, and exit strategy. For GIP’s Mid-Market Team he leads investments in Lanes Group and Solvang Gas Carriers and has been actively involved with the team’s investments in Renovalia, PetroFirst, PetroFirst II, and GasLog. Prior to joining First Reserve, Mr. Synetos spent 5 years with UBS Investment Bank in London where he focused on advising clients in the European utilities industry. Mr. Synetos graduated from Imperial College London with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
