Aris Patounas has been the Head of Shipping at Hellenic Bank since May 2024, where he leads the shipping finance and transactions teams. He began his career in a ship management company in Cyprus before transitioning to the banking sector. With 24 years banking experience, Aris has been deeply involved in corporate lending, international lending, and specializes in shipping finance.
Aris holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Essex, an MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance from Bayes Business School in London and an MBA from University of Cyrus. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.”
